Employer FAQs

What is the process for finding employees through Bonney Staffing Center, Inc.?

Contact your local branch office, either online or by phone to speak with the Branch Manager or one of our Staffing Professionals.  We will gather information about your company, job opening(s) and hiring requirements; we will then provide you with account set-up information “next steps” to making a successful placement.

Our search and recruitment efforts begin immediately after speaking with you.  By clearly understanding your needs and the requirements of your position, we are able to send only the most qualified applicants for your openings.  The right placement the first time!

Who keeps track of the temporary employee’s time worked?

Bonney Staffing offers multiple options when it comes to tracking time worked.  Our field employees can complete their own “Bonney” timecard weekly, or you may have them use any company-specific timekeeping system on-site.

Bonney Staffing offers a convenient online timekeeping option for field employees and supervisors, as well as electronic on-site time-clock options for customers upon review of services and volume of needs provided.

*Bonney Staffing, as the employer obtains timecard information weekly and processes all pay for our employees.

Can temporary staff work overtime?

Yes. Bonney Staffing field employees may work overtime as requested by our customers. Bonney Staffing does take into consideration the safety of all its workers, so we will monitor hours worked, and ask that our customers ensure State and Federal Labor Laws are followed.

It is also important to note that all overtime wages will be paid and billed at time-and-one-half the regular rate quoted.

How does the billing work? And what are your payment terms?

Bonney Staffing processes payroll and bills customers on a weekly basis. Timecards must be submitted and approved by each Tuesday at 12p at the latest. Once these are received and reviewed by the Bonney Staffing Payroll Team, paychecks and their corresponding invoices are processed simultaneously.

Invoices are sent weekly and our standard terms are Net 10 days.

Who handles payroll taxes, insurance coverage, worker’s comp or unemployment claims?

Bonney Staffing is the Employer-of-Record and, as such, is required to withhold all proper State and Federal taxes and provide comprehensive insurance protection, including Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment benefits.

How long will it take to fill the opening(s) in our company?

The timeframe for making a successful placement may vary based on the position requirements and our current candidate availability. We likely have candidates readily available that match your company’s specific needs though we may need to post the position and recruit for additional applicants.

We are committed to sending you only the most qualified candidates. As the customer, you may decide to review our candidates’ resumes, using our proprietary SaySomethingGreat! video resume system, perform an in-person interview with the candidates presented, or we can fill a position for you with the best candidate based on the qualifications provided.

Bottom line, our goal is to fill your positions as quickly as possible. Bonney Staffing teams are able to fill some positions within a matter of minutes; other positions could may take longer depending on the qualifications requested.

What kind of background checks do you provide?

Bonney Staffing offers a wide-range of background and pre-employment check options and will customize a plan for each customer based on their company’s hiring requirements.

Every applicant is thoroughly vetted with our intake, interview and reference checking process prior to being “hired” by Bonney Staffing. In addition Bonney participates in e-verify to finalize the hiring process. Additional, specific pre-employment checks and screens are completed based on Bonney Staffing’s initial agreement with each customer.

What if I am not satisfied with an employee placed by Bonney Staffing?

Although our goal is to provide you with “the right person the first time” we realize that not every job is a fit for every person and sometimes that is not clear until the person is working. If you are not satisfied with an employee, we will work with you to coach and/or replace them if needed.

Our temp-to-hire option provides an excellent opportunity for you to work with our field employee(s) during a trial period. This allows you time to determine if they are the right fit for your organization before committing to hiring them permanently. We also offer direct-hire placement services with a guarantee that varies based on the contract for each client.

What are my responsibilities to the temporary employee(s)?

Once a Bonney Staffing Field Employee is identified and dispatched to your location, you are primarily responsible for the day-to-day supervision of that field employee and the accuracy and quality of their work. Our Staffing Supervisors will conduct daily and/or weekly performance checks with you or the department supervisor, whichever is preferred. If at any time you are not satisfied with the candidate’s overall performance, please let us know immediately, so that a replacement can be identified quickly. If applicable, a service credit can be issued.

What do we do if we want to hire the temporary employee on a permanent basis?

Bonney Staffing realizes that, more often than not, our ability to match the “right person to the right job” occurs. In the event your company or any of its subsidiaries, divisions, partners or affiliates is interested in hiring a Bonney Field Employee full-time, please notify your Bonney Staffing Supervisor. The conversion will be free of charge provided a work-hours minimum is met. A separation fee wil be charged if you would like to convert the employee sooner than the work-hours minimum.

What limitations do temporary employees have when working on the job?

Due to insurance restrictions, and Bonney Staffing’s Safety Policies, some job functions are strictly prohibited, ie: lifting over 75 lbs, climbing ladders, or working with certain chemicals or solvents. If the job you need filled involves any of the above-mentioned job functions, please let your Bonney Staffing Supervisor know right away, so alternatives can be considered.

Why should I use your service instead of filling the position on my own?

We pride ourselves on the quality of our employees and feel our greatest resource is our past, present and future employees. The screening process for our applicants allows us to best match their skills and training to the positions.

By using the temporary to hire program with Bonney Staffing the hiring risk is out of your hands. If you are not satisfied with an employee, we can replace them, and you have not made the investment of hiring them onto your payroll. We cover workers compensation and unemployment costs as well as taking away the stress of recruiting and sorting through applicants for the ones who are qualified. Bonney Staffing invests in our own employees by providing training and certification for all of our office staff. We can be a resource to you when questions arise about staffing and employment.
