these difficult economic times.

short-falls along with the reality of many “big”
accounts moving their business to national
service providers…who can sharpen their pencils
further down the quick…picking up market share
they have not had before, to off-set their lower
mark-ups and margins.
Keep Maine Strong
is an economic initiative designed to encourage
the support of merchants and businesses owned
and operated in the State of Maine. In Maine,
we all share a passion for the quality of life
represented in the phrase,
Maine...The
Way Life Should Be.
There will always be a direct connection between
the vitality of our state and the extent to
which we are all able to support our local
economy.
Maine
possesses the work ethic and the entrepreneurial
spirit to produce and sell some of the best
products on earth. It's no wonder that Maine occupies a unique place in the minds of
people everywhere for quality products and world
class vacations.
So far there are 650 businesses that have
committed to participate in the
Keep
Maine Strong Campaign.
Keep
Maine Strong depends on all of us to get the
message out that supporting local business is
essential to our way of life.
Remember... we can make a difference by
supporting our friends, neighbors and businesses
with every local purchase.

try to keep dollars generated in Maine…here in
Maine… and, not sent to
corporate offices elsewhere in the country!
