What
qualifications are needed to apply for a Bonney
Staffing position?
BONNEY looks for candidates with a recent work
history and 2 positive references from
supervisors. While we prefer to see employees
who have experience in the job for which they
are applying, this is not required.
Do I need a car?
Reliable transportation is required. However,
this can be in the form of a personal car or
public transportation. Relying on public
transportation may limit your employment
options.
When is pay day?
Pay day is every Wednesday if you work out of
the Portland office, and on Thursday if you work
out of any of our other offices. Checks can be
mailed, or picked up at the office. We have
extended office hours on pay day, but be sure to
ask your staffing specialist when checks are
available. If you have direct deposit, the money
will be deposited into your account first thing
Thursday morning no matter which office you work
out of. A new timecard and your payment stub
will be mailed to you.
Does BONNEY offer
benefits?
Yes! We offer accrued time off, a prescription
card, two health insurance plans, 401K, referral
bonuses, free skills assessments and the biggest
benefits of all – the ability to build
relationships with the area’s finest companies!
Is there a fee to use your
service?
No. As an employee you never pay us any money to
assist you in finding employment.
What is the different
between temporary and temporary to hire
positions?
A temporary position is one that has a definite
end date. A temporary job could be one day, one
week, or even months. A temporary to hire
position is when the hiring company has the
intention of bringing someone on permanent, but
wants to try it out first. This is also a
wonderful opportunity for the employee to try
out the company and make sure it’s the right
fit.
Are there part-time
positions available or just full-time?
Part-time and full-time positions are available.
BONNEY offers a variety of opportunities and
shifts.
What are the
types of opportunities offered?
Jobs range from assembly line positions to
executive assistants. BONNEY specializes in
light industrial jobs and office support. For
the most accurate description of our job
openings please visit the job search page.
How long before I’m
placed with BONNEY?
Unfortunately there is no guaranteed time of
placement. We do our best to secure employment
for each candidate, but are limited by your
search criteria and our client’s needs.
How long before the
company hires me?
A company’s decision to hire you could range
from 1 day to 4 months to a year. Temp-to-hire
opportunities allow both the client and you the
opportunity to make sure the fit is “right.”
What sort of notice is
required if I find another job or I don’t like
my job?
We require that you give us at least a one
week’s notice. You must give your notice to your
Staffing Specialist, not to your supervisor
directly. Giving proper notice insures your
record remains in good standing with BONNEY and
with our client companies.
How long do
assignments last?
Temporary assignments can last from a half-day,
all the way to turning in a permanent job! Some
may only be one week to cover someone on
vacation, while others could be three months or
more to cover a medical or maternity leave.
Why should I try a
temporary job?
Here are just a few reasons:
-
Flexibility
-
Investigate a
company or industry before choosing a career
-
Earn money
while looking for a permanent job on your
own
-

permanent position by getting your
foot-in-the door
